Meet Brittany Blackmore

I graduated from college in 2009, with a major in Marketing/Business. I worked for a sales company Downtown Nashville, and was looking to move to sales. I started working at DCC in April of this year. I enjoy the opportunity to interact and help people with diabetes all day.

Q.What is the most surprising thing you've learned about diabetes here?

A: I have learned how dangerous diabetes actually is. Before working here, I really didn't know a lot about the disease. My grandmother was diabetic, but never really expressed how much it affected her life. Now that I know how common and life changing it really is, I am happy to be able to help.

Q. What is your favorite part of your job?

A. My favorite part of my job is being able to help people.

Q. What did your training involve?

A. The training program at DCC is great. I learned about every department, how the company works, and how to make me good at what I do. We went over a lot of scenarios to help me serve our patients.
